ADVANCED ACTING IN A PRODUCTION

For those who take acting seriously because it's the heart of the human condition. Our students go on to Broadway and Hollywood, or become successful as Doctors, Lawyers, and Business Owners because they see the world through the eyes of an artist. Open to returning students, students who have taken "Beginning/Intermediate Acting & Improv" (Course # 3501.4251), or new students by invitation only. All students will be cast in an original one-act comedic production. Students will gain confidence, make lifelong friends, and learn real theatre training - not just "performing"! Classes will include vocal warmups, improv games, master classes, guest teachers, and rehearsals for the final production. Students will have creative input in the writing process and character development. Students are expected to attend all classes and must be available for tech week and all performances. Tech week November 30 - December 5. Performances will be Saturday December 6 at 1pm & 6pm, and Sunday December 7 at 1pm. All students receive a free T-shirt during the final week. Stage crew internships are available. Enrolled students are invited to an early rough draft table read of the play with a discussion to follow on August 24 - it is not mandatory, just fun!
