QUESTIONS?

Q: DO BOTH CAMPS DO THE SAME SHOW? A: Yes. Both camps will perform DISNEY'S THE LION KING JR.
Q: WHY ARE THERE TWO LOCATIONS FOR CAMP? A. Camp will spend the first portion of time at M.A.T.E.S. and then will move to Newbury Park High School to rehearse on the stage beginning on July 6. Full date breakdown is listed on brochure (above).
Q: IS THERE A LUNCH BREAK DURING CAMP? A: Both the morning and afternoon camp take a snack break, but not a lunch break. Snacks are provided, however you are welcome to send snacks as well, if you choose. Please communicate food allergies to staff.
Q: HOW DOES DROP OFF AND PICK UP WORK? A: Campers must be signed in and signed out of camp by a parent or other authorized adult. Parents should be prepared on the first day of camp to provide a list of any adults authorized to pick up their child.
Q: CAN I GET A REFUND IF MY CHILD DOES NOT GET A MAIN ROLE? A: No. We truly believe the experience of camp will be amazing no matter what role you may play. There are a limited number of "main" roles, and camp staff works very hard to cast the show in a way that gives everyone a chance to shine and be challenged. Our sincere hope is that no one changes their mind about wanting to continue in camp because of the role they did or did not get cast in. However, if campers choose to not continue, camp tuition can not be refunded.
Q; DO YOU OFFER FINANCIAL AID FOR CAMP? A: No. Unfortunately, it is not feasible for this camp. We do offer a $50 sibling discount. And we invite anyone who is looking for theatre programs WITH financial aid options to check out the Young Artists Ensemble's offerings throughout the school year.
Q; HOW DOES THE SIBLING DISCOUNT WORK? A: Sibling Discount will automatically apply when you when register more than one student.
Q: WHEN DO I NEED TO PAY THE FULL CAMP TUITION? A: The $100 deposit is due at registration. The remainder must be paid by the first day of camp.
Q: WHAT SHOULD WE BRING ON DAY ONE? A: Please print and fill out the Authorization to Treat a Minor  and CRPD Code of Conduct (linked above) to turn them in at check in. Please also be prapred to provide a list of any adults authorized to pick up your child. Campers should bring a water bottle to camp every day, and wear clothes and shoes that they can comfortably dance in.
