The Hillcrest Center for the Arts has several facilities available for rental.
To book space at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts you must first call for a booking appointment.

Large and Small Rehearsal Rooms

The Large and Small Rehearsal Rooms are available for rental throughout the year as scheduling permits. Both rooms have beautiful sprung wood dance floors and mirrored walls. These spaces are perfect for theatre, dance or music rehearsals as well as art classes or large meetings. These rooms are NOT AVAILABLE for private parties.

For Non-Profit Arts and Cultural Organization That Are Members of The Arts Council Of The Conejo Valley

Small Rehearsal Room: $14.25* per hour
Large Rehearsal Room: $22.00* per hour
Theatre on the Hill: $28.25* per hour
Theatre on the HIll Per Performance Rate: $426.25 (per performance; insurance included)
Community Room (Fri, Sat, Sun only): $35.50* per hour

CRPD Staff not required but available at $25.00 per hour. (Use of Theatre equipement likely requires staff.)

* All hourly rates include a mandatory ACCV Member Org. $1.00 per hour Insurance Fee Subsidy.

For In-District, Non-ACCV Member, Non-Profit Organization 

Fundraising Activities, Closed Membership Meetings etc.

The Theatre on the Hill

The Theatre on the Hill is a beautiful Black Box Theatre with flexible seating that can be configured into proscenium, three-quarter thrust, or  theatre in the round. The theatre seats 127-147 audience members (seating varies depending on the configuration). Currently, the theatre configuration is set for the procenium configuration at 127 seats. A house lighting plot and sound plot comes with the rental. The cost of all changes to the house plot, including seating configuration, is charged to the rental group. The theatre has all the modern technical amenities including a computerized lighting and sound booth. The Theatre on the Hill can be rented for theatrical events throughout the year as scheduling permits. Rental of the space includes some equipment as well as box office and technical staff.

Per performance theatre use requires a special application and selection process and may include technical theatre and staff requirements, additional fees and charges. To schedule a Performance Rental, contact Scott Buchanan at sbuchanan@crpd.org or by calling (805) 381-2747.

Theatre $28.25* per hour - hourly theatre renters must hire at least one stage worker for their full time in the theatre.
Approved Community Theatre Multi Show Rate Per Performance: $426.25

* All hourly rates include a mandatory $1.00 per hour Insurance Fee Subsidy.

Other Fees:
Application Fee: $12.00 per application.
Change Fee: $5.00 per change
Refundable Security and Cleaning Deposit: $350.00 ($500.00 with alcohol.)
Late Exit Fee: In addition to the hourly rental rate $25.00 per each quarter hour late in exiting the facility.
Custodian: $25.00 per hour
Stage Worker: $25.00 per hour
Technical Theatre Specialist: $30.00 per hour
Graphic Artwork (Theatre Communications Specialist): $30.00 per hour
Ushers: $25.00 per hour

HOW TO BOOK A SPACE

Complete Forms 1-5 below and send them to the Hillcrest Center for the Arts. If you have multiple dates, you must fill out form #6.

Submit your forms to the Hillcrest Center for the Arts. You can:

1.      Scan and email to Cultural@crpd.org

2.      Fax them to 805-497-3199 (best to call to make sure that the fax was received.)

3.      Mail them to HCFA Booking, Hillcrest Center for the Arts at  403 West Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360.

4.      Drop them off in person.

After they reviewed by staff, we will call you to set up an appointment to go over the reservation.
