Facility Rental

The Hillcrest Center for the Arts has several facilities available for recitals, rehearsals, auditions, arts classes/workshops, performances, and arts events. We do not rent for private parties, meetings, fundraisers, or banquets/luncheons, but you may contact the Reservations department to see if CRPD can still help you host your event.

Please note that rental rates are valid only through June 30, 2024. ACCV Insurance rates typically increase mid- April annually.
 
LARGE AND SMALL REHEARSAL ROOMS
The Large and Small Rehearsal Rooms are available for rental throughout the year as scheduling permits. Both rooms have beautiful sprung wood dance floors and mirrored walls. These spaces are perfect for theatre, dance or music rehearsals as well as art classes or large meetings. These rooms are NOT AVAILABLE for private parties.
The Large Rehearsal Room measures 52'x39.5' and can accommodate up to 151 occupants for gatherings and classes. For seated events and perfoemances, the Large Rehearsal Room can accommodate approximately 120 occupants, though the amount will vary based on seating layout and performance space. The Large Rehearsal Room contains several 6' folding tables and approximately 120 chairs; there are no additional charges for using this equipment, though there will be staff charges if you request HCFA staff assistance in setup/breakdown.
The Small Rehearsal Room measures 29'x22' and also includes 6' folding tables and approximately 40 chairs, and can accommodate up to 20 occupants for classes or meetings. The Small Rehearsal Room has ballet barres on two walls, as well as a sink. There is no additional charge for use of tables and chairs, though there may be staff charges if you request HCFA staff assistance in setup/breakdown.

Small Rehearsal Room: $17.38 per hour
Large Rehearsal Room: $26.73 per hour
Theatre on the Hill: $34.32 per hour
Theatre on the HIll Per Performance Rate: $517 (per performance)
CRPD Staff not required but available at $23.00 per hour. (Use of Theatre equipement likely requires staff.)
ACCV Insurance $2 per hour of rental time. Members may also provide thei own insurance and not be charged the $2 per hour.

CRPD Staff may be required at $23 per hour

THE THEATRE ON THE HILL
The Theatre on the Hill is a beautiful Black Box Theatre with flexible seating that can be configured into proscenium, three-quarter thrust, or  theatre in the round. The theatre seats approximately 120 audience members (seating varies depending on the configuration). Currently, the theatre configuration is set for the proscenium configuration at 120 seats. A house lighting plot and sound plot comes with the rental. The cost of all changes to the house plot, including seating configuration, is charged to the rental group. The theatre has all the modern technical amenities including a computerized lighting and sound booth. The Theatre on the Hill can be rented for theatrical events throughout the year as scheduling permits. Rental of the space includes some equipment as well as box office and technical staff.
