Every year, the Duke and Duchess hold a Christmas Ball displaying the new toy of the year. The annual ball has been a tradition in their royal family for centuries. It is an extravagant affair with all the important town guests in attendance. The Duke and Duchess have spared no expense and have hired the best caterers and entertainers in the world! Meanwhile, the prisoners in the castle dungeon wish they could be freed just long enough to have a special Christmas. Suddenly there is a castle-wide lantern outage, and when the fires turn back on, the guests realize that the New Town Christmas Toy has gone missing! Who could have done such a thing? And Why? Luckily, the Castle Detectives are on the case!
